Arts organizations with strong missions often get stuck - not because the work isn’t worthy, but because the operational and leadership infrastructure hasn’t kept pace. Thin staffing, over-reliance on single revenue streams, boards that need development, systems that were never built to scale. The mission is clear. The path forward isn’t.

Arts Domino exists for that moment.

Who We Are

Arts Domino was founded by a nonprofit arts leader with more than 25 years of executive experience across residency, performing arts, and community arts education organizations. That work spanned every pressure point arts leaders face - building fundraising programs from scratch, rebuilding boards, restructuring staff, planning strategically under resource constraints, and navigating leadership transitions. It also included leading organizations through crises including: a recession, COVID, and catastrophic natural disaster.

And that’s what Arts Domino brings to you - someone who has been through what you’re going through not as an outside observer, but as the person in the room when it was hardest.

Arts Domino engages a trusted network of senior practitioners who bring specific expertise in development, governance, and institutional leadership to engagements where it’s needed.

How We Work

We start by listening. Every engagement begins with a diagnostic - not a template applied from the outside, but a real attempt to understand what’s actually happening inside your organization before recommending anything.

We work with a small number of clients at a time, by design.
